Runnin' low on gas these days....

So lately, I have been so busy that I cant make healthy food. I was at 5 hours of rehearsal on saturday and have a 4 hour rehearsal tomorrow night. Needless to say we have been eating out a lot.
I am proud to say that today, I made potato salad and pasta salad for the fridge so Colin doesn't eat chips and salsa all week.
I need some more ideas for things that I can keep in the fridge. We don't have a microwave to leftovers are a little difficult if they cant be heated up on the stove.

Any ideas ladies??

Yes! When you make spaghetti, make lots.. enough to store some in the fridge. Now, the secret to reheating spaghetti is to fry it. Put a little butter or margarine in a pan and throw the spaghetti in until it's heated through. I like fried spaghetti much better than fresh. It is that delicious!

Another thing I love as leftovers is chili. Chili with chips and cheese and sour cream. I have a fantastic chili recipe. One that has beans but doesn't taste too beany. I like my chili to have a clean taste to it. Hey Naoms, You can get a microwave from walmart for around 40 bucks, I would do that if I were you. It'll save on your eating out bill! Love you girlie.

Ha, I was totally going to tell you Sarah's spaghetti trick. She beat me to it.

I bought frozen chicken strips and they fry in olive oil super yummy and fast. Just put some lemon pepper seasoning and you're good to go.

I struggle with trying to find good foods that are easy...I recently remembered that there is such thing as sandwich meat...a little more nutritional than pb and j.

Cheese is always good. You can eat it plain, with crackers, grilled cheese, quesadilla, nachos, on your leftover spaghetti...buy and cut up a rottiserie chicken in little chunks. Works with rice, pasta, in a sandwich. Aaron eats it plain. And it's the best chicken around.

I made a chicken salad and made lots. Had it two days in a row after I made it, it was so good.

Trouble is, once you find something good, thats all you eat for a few weeks and then you get really sick of it. Gotta keep trying new things.

We always buy salad ingredients. We have everything that we think is yummy on salads, and chop it all up one night and then put it in tupperware. That way when you come home you can fix a salad. Also we make roman, but add frozen veggies, and crack and egg in it, its a good source of protein. Those always work well for us.
